Saint Tropez: the handloomed ikat kaftan made to be worn everywhere
Some pieces feel like a holiday the moment you put them on. The Saint Tropez is one of them. It is an ikat kaftan dress in 100% cotton, light and breathable, with the relaxed drape that makes Kleed kaftans so easy to live in.
Its signature is the fabric. Bold cobalt blue triangles float across the cream cotton in the soft, blurred edges that only true ikat has. The yarns are resist-dyed before weaving and then handloomed, so every metre is unique. Hand-embroidered daisies in red and coral bloom across the balloon sleeves and add a colourful, joyful contrast to the graphic ikat pattern. Red and white striped cuffs finish each sleeve. At the neckline, twisted red and white cords end in red tassels that match the embroidery, so the whole dress looks designed as one piece.
Wear it belted for a defined waist or loose for an easy, flowing silhouette. Pair it with flat sandals, a woven straw basket and statement earrings for the Riviera look, or dress it up and take it into the evening. It works as resort wear, a summer dress and a beach cover-up alike.
